We understand that your needs reach far beyond simply checking out quality equipment. We pride ourselves on catering to your specific production requirements. Put us to the test and let us show you what we are capable of.
But we don’t stop at video equipment rental. Because we are focused on providing fully supporting our clients, we have grown to be a leader in the custom production solutions space. We specialize in custom wireless video solutions for cars, jets, boats, and any other POV or hidden camera requirements you have. There is no challenge that we have not stepped up to the plate successfully on. We would love to hear about what challenges you might be facing that we can help with. Our clients include some of the top reality shows and television networks in the business.
C Mount was formed in July 2004 in Santa Monica, California by Marc Weichel. A pioneer in reality tv, Marc recognized that production content creation column was exploding as decentralized distribution channels were becoming popular and equipment was becoming more accessible. He realized the unfulfilled niche for video equipment rental services that supported complex logistical requirements and that was based on white glove customer service. Since then we have been known in the industry for supporting the demands of reality TV productions, with some of our first clients were MTV’s Ozzfest and The Challenge as well as E!’s The Simple Life. In 2014, Jason Liquori joined C Mount as a co-founder and EVP of Innovation. Jason’s expertise in custom solutions for POV, underwater, hidden cameras and arrays allowed us to take our full service offerings to the next level. Since then our clients have taken us around the world to implement our creative innovations for their productions.
After graduating from Montana State University in 2000 with a degree in Film and Television, Marc packed up his pickup and headed south for Los Angeles. Experienced with camera systems in feature film production, commercial production, live sports, news and documentary, he made the jump to reality television, starting with MTV’s Road Rules: Campus Crawl. With eyes open to the opportunity of the reality industry, he never looked back and traveled the world as a freelance camera operator for several years. Along the way, Marc Weichel, used his nominal life savings in 2004 to form C Mount Video Equipment Rentals with 2 Toshiba POV cameras and a Sony recording deck.
In addition to his responsibilities at C Mount, Marc has worked as a Director of Photography on E! Network’s Keeping up with the Kardashians and The Spin Crowd as well as VH1’s Hollywood Exes and as a camera operator on FOX’s Hells Kitchen.
Jason is a graduate of Emerson College and has been working in television production since 1999. His career in television has spanned several different genres including news and sports, live event coverage, reality shows and documentaries, national commercials, indie films and underwater photography. His versatile skill set has taken him all over the world working in over 40 countries and 40 states as Director, DP, Technical Supervisor, Wireless Video Technician, POV rigger, Sound Mixer and Lighting Tech. Jason joined C Mount Industries in 2006 with the desire to improve and innovate field production and has since been dedicated to creating custom gear solutions based on his years of experience to serve crew and production needs.
