THE ONE WITH THE REUNION
The Friends HBO Max Reunion was the event that brought everyone together, after a year of being apart. The highly anticipated reunion not only brought together the original cast, but also a lot of the Hollywood Tech Community. In fact, we ran into a lot of our old Tech and Production friends from all over LA. Each production company, rental house and tech crew involved did an amazing job to make it as impactful as possible.
The show shot several creative aspects at once and we were lucky to be a part of a few. From Friends Reunion Red Carpet Exclusive shoots to a custom remote camera solution for a surprise guest to the main show, we had all bases covered for our “Friends.”
THE ONE WITH THE CAR RIG

The first order of Reunion business for C Mount was…. a car rig for the Red Carpet Exclusive! But this time, we just built a rig for a simple insert shot of Jennifer Anniston driving back to the old Friends set.
The challenge was getting a high quality frontal driving shot while keeping the rig small. Since the DOP was also filming in-car with her A cam, we went with our trusty Sony RXO Mark II. A GoPro was not going to cut it this time. Its tiny footprint, large 1” sensor and Internal 4k and S Log capabilities made it the perfect choice. We accomplished a great shot and stayed out of the DPs way while maintaining a high Image standard.

Next, our remote kits were featured on the main stage HBO Reunion when we streamed a cast mate that couldn’t make it. The old cast member from Central Perk live streamed in safely from their home to surprise the cast.
We sent high-quality HD footage live to the set while maintaining strict safety protocols since restrictions still were not lifted. The kit consisted of a full frame ZCAM 6K t camera, Pro audio and light that could all be controlled remotely by our Remote techs off site. The tech helped bridge the gap of physical distance to maintain the emotions and joy of the moment.
