Introducing Rob Dyrdek & Big
Rob Dyrdek is an icon in the skate Boarding world. We had the pleasure of being invited to hedge the camera, wireless video and in car camera installations. This MTV series features the lives and antics of Rob Dyrdek and his buddy ‘Big Black’ who helps Rob deal with security guards and other obstacles that keep him from skating where he wants.Challenges
Anything can happen at anytime with these 2 crazy guys so we had to wire up a house and car with lights, cameras and wireless video to be prepared for any situation. Our team set up a wireless system that worked throughout the 3 story house. The action had to flow seamlessly from one room to the next and if the guys decided to run out the door, we followed behind with lightweight hand held monitors and moulded gripsters so that the directors and producers would still be patched in. Shooting a doc style show in Los Angeles means tons of time in the car. Cars are very difficult to film in especially when one of your lead characters is so BIG! The camera team had to install “In car cameras,” to capture the action from the windshield to have better coverage.Gear
