Mickey & Friends Photobomb
The Disney Store just upped their photobomb game by bringing in the classic characters that we all know and love to surprise the holiday shoppers. While a handful of lucky families just thought that they were getting their photo taken, it turned out to be a magical moment with Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy, who is always the prankster. Not only did the families get to go home with a photo with their favorite characters, but they also were able to hang out with their favorite characters. CMount was more than happy to help Disney bring smiles during the most wonderful time of the year.
Challenges
One of our main challenges was setting up in a live mall without being seen. Sneaking around with our boxes of equipment is not exactly subtle, especially when malls are exceptionally more crowded during the holiday season. We had to keep the camera and engineering package as small as possible, to stay more discreet, but also so that it would fit into the small photo room that was set aside in the Disney store. Our crew ended up hiding cameras inside stuffed animals because there were not a ton of surfaces to hide the cameras behind. And of course, beyond rigging, it is always a challenge to not crack up in front of Goofy.Gear
